Industrial Fire 5/06/ 2014 













A fire alarm at the P.R. Hughes Trading Company warehouse at 1:12 a.m. Tuesday morning May 6th, 2014 resulted in nine area fire departments responding to the fire on County Road 51, near the Haleyville airport. Reportedly, the warehouse was full of artificial flowers, cardboard boxes and styrofoam. The fire quickly engulfed the building putting most of the 32,250 square foot structure on the ground. In addition to the Haleyville Fire Department, assistance was provided by Pebble, Bear Creek, Delmar, Lynn, Ashridge, East Franklin, Blue Springs and Phil Campbell Fire Departments.
